MaryAnn Haws-Johnson, a former coordinator of what is now the Swain Education Library in University Libraries at Western Michigan University, died May 12 in Kalamazoo. She was 76.
Haws-Johnson came to WMU in 1980 and retired in 2002 after 22 years of service to the University. She worked at Bronson Methodist Hospital for 11 years before coming to WMU.
A three-time WMU alumna, Haws-Johnson earned bachelor's and master's degrees from WMU in 1977 and 1979, respectively, then went on to earn a Master of Librarianship in 1982.
