Collegium Musicum to perform free concert

Collegium Musicum

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—The instrumentalists and singers of the Collegium Musicum, Western Michigan University’s early music ensemble, will perform a program at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 2, in Western Michigan University’s Dalton Center Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

The concert will feature instrumental works of Telemann and Purcell and choral works by Dufay, Josquin, Mozart, Brahms and a 16th century hymn in Quechua, the native language of the Incas. Period instruments for the performance will include recorders, viols, baroque violin and viola, harpsichord and chamber organ.
