Campus memorial service will honor Lonnie Duncan

KALAMAZOO—A memorial service on the campus of Western Michigan University Friday, Feb. 21, will honor the life and work of Dr. Lonnie E. Duncan, associate professor of counselor education and counseling psychology, who died Dec. 31.

A faculty member since 2000, Duncan was co-training director of WMU's counseling psychology doctoral program. He also served the local community as a member of the Kalamazoo Public Schools Board of Education.

The event will be held in WMU's Fetzer Center beginning at 3 p.m. It will include recognition by professional organizations as well as remembrances by administrators, current students, alumni and faculty colleagues. Kalamazoo Schools Superintendent Michael Rice also is expected to be among those speaking.
