KALAMAZOO—The Kalamazoo Film Society will present "Frances Ha" Friday through Sunday, Aug. 16-18, at Western Michigan University's Little Theatre.

Frances lives in New York City, but she doesn't really have an apartment. She is an apprentice for a dance company, but she's not really a dancer. She has a best friend named Sophie, but they aren't really speaking anymore. Frances throws herself headlong into her dreams, even as the possibility of them becoming reality dwindles. Frances Ha is a modern comic fable that explores New York, friendship, class, ambition, failure and redemption.

Starring Greta Gerwig, Mickey Sumner and Adam Driver, the film is rated R for sexual content and language with a run time of 86 minutes.
