University Theatre presents 'Caroline or Change'

KALAMAZOO—Western Michigan University theatre students will perform the powerful musical “Caroline or Change” Jan. 24 through Feb. 10 in the York Arena Theatre inside the Gilmore Theatre Complex.

Set in 1963 America in the midst of the JFK assassination and the Civil Rights Movement,
the critically acclaimed musical explores the relationship between an African-American woman and the young son of her employer as they struggle to make sense of the changing world around them. Mixing fact and fantasy, “Caroline or Change” inspires awareness in a breathtaking tale of ordinary people facing extraordinary change.

Directed by Jay Berkow, "Caroline or Change" features alumna Altamiece Carolyn Cooper as Caroline Thibodeaux and theatre student Emily McKay as Noah Gellman.

All seating for "Caroline or Change" at York Arena Theatre is general admission. Tickets are $20, $18 for senior citizens and WMU employees, $5 for WMU students and $10 for all other students.
