LBGTA Diversity Career Fair Wednesday, Nov. 14

KALAMAZOO—An upcoming event on Western Michigan University's main campus will showcase leaders in workplace diversity and inclusion to current undergraduate and graduate students and community members considering internships and careers.

The Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay, Transgender and Ally Diversity Career Fair is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, in the Trimpe Building, located on Knollwood Avenue across from WMU Parking Services and next to the Western View campus apartments.

The free fair will feature leaders in a variety of industries, including health services, counseling, engineering and nonprofit organizations.

"The largest and most successful U.S. businesses have proven—across industry and geography—that LBGT workplace equality is good for business," says the executive summary of the 2012 Corporate Equality Index by the Human Rights Campaign.

The LBGTA Diversity Career Fair is being sponsored by WMU's Office of LBGT Student Services and Career and Student Employment Services. Those attending should dress in business casual attire.
