Vocal jazz trio JaLaLa performs at Dalton Center

KALAMAZOO--The vocal jazz trio JaLaLa will perform in Western Michigan University's Dalton Center Recital Hall at 8:15 p.m. Monday, April 2.

General admission tickets are $15 and $5 for WMU students with a valid Bronco Card. They are available at the door and through the Miller Auditorium Ticket Office at millerauditorium.com/som, (269) 387-2300 or (800) 228-9858.

JaLaLa has performed for sold-out audiences throughout the Northeast. In 2012, JaLaLa will be performing select dates in the United States and abroad, putting their own spin on the music of Queen, Dolly Parton, Dave Brubeck and Johan Sebastian Bach, as well as jazz classics by Dave Lambert, Jon Hendricks and Annie Ross. In 2008 the trio released a CD of Johnny Mercer tunes, "That Old Mercer Magic," on Dare Records.

The trio includes Janis Siegel and Laurel Massé, founding members of vocal group The Manhattan Transfer, and Lauren Kinhan of New York Voices.
