Bio:
Dr. Ok-Kyeong Kim is a professor of mathematics, specializing in mathematics education, in the Department of Mathematics at Western Michigan University.
Kim's current research centers on the role of teacher and curriculum in mathematics instruction and the relationships among teacher, curriculum and instruction. Particularly, she is interested in:
- Teacher knowledge and capacity needed for using curricular resources effectively to teach mathematics.
- Curricular support for mathematics teaching and learning.
- The development and use of mathematical thinking in school and non-school settings.
