Antique Book Appraisal Event
Annual Meeting event was entertaining and informative for book lovers
The meeting May 5, 2016, took place at the Zhang Legacy Collections Center, Archives and Regional History Collections, 1650 Oakland Drive. There was a brief business meeting and review of the year's activities. Appraiser Gene Alloway of Otte & Bailey Books of Ann Arbor gave a short presentation regarding book appraisal methods and then appraised books on site for Friends members (memberships start at $10). The event was a fundraiser for the Friends with a $5 donation per book. It was a successful event with approximately 25 appraisals.
