Dr. Ming Li – Dean of the College of Education and Human Development, received the INSIGHT Into Diversity’s 2017 Giving Back Award in March 2017. The award was presented in recognition of Dr. Li’s dedication to diversifying the K-12 teacher workforce by making teacher preparation programs more accessible to underrepresented students.

Dr. Yuanlong Liu – Chair of the Department of Human Performance and Health Education, received the College of Education and Human Development 2017 Multicultural Advocate Award for Global Engagement in April 2017. The award was presented in recognition of Dr. Liu’s contributions to establishing and strengthening meaningful ties between the University and our global partners.

Dr. Debra Berkey – Professor of Physical Education Teacher Education received the 2017 Phi Theta Kappa Distinguished Advisor Award in March 2017. The award was presented in recognition of Dr. Bereky’s contributions to the growth of the individual chapter members, serving as the chapters advocate on campus, and encouraging the chapter to be involved on the local, regional, and international levels of the organization.

Ms. Sarah Rasnake – Administrative Assistant II in the Department of Human Performance and Health Education received the first ever College of Education and Human Development Staff High Five Award in October 2016. The award was presented to Ms. Rasnake in recognition of going above and beyond her work duties.
