After an accreditation visit during the summer, the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) has reaffirmed accreditation for WMU's physician assistant program through 2027.

ARC-PA, the accrediting agency for physician assistant programs, has granted Accreditation-Continued status to WMU's physician assistant program. This accreditation status signifies that the program continues to be in compliance with ARC-PA standards.

"I want to congratulate (Interim Chair) Denise Bowen and the entire team of PA faculty and staff," said Dr. Earlie Washington, dean of the College of Health and Human Services. "The accreditation process is time consuming and requires great attention to detail, but it is a vital process which ensures the program meets quality standards."

The program is next scheduled for review in September 2027. The ten-year time span represents the longest possible accreditation period available through ARC-PA.
