Katrina M. Goodall joined Western Michigan University's Office of Clinical Experiences (formerly Office of Field Placements) in September 2015 as the placement coordinator. Prior to working in the Office of Clinical Experiences, Katrina was the administrative assistant in the TRiO Future Educators Success Program. Katrina was born and raised in Forrest City, Arkansas, and relocated to Kalamazoo, MI in 1996. Katrina received her Bachelor’s Degree (with concentrations in Family Life Education and Management & Organizational Development) from Spring Arbor University. Katrina is currently pursuing her Masters of Social Work Degree at WMU.
Prior to working at Western Michigan University, Katrina worked at Lockhart Management & Consulting as a Neighborhood Network Center (NNC) coordinator for four years. In her role as NNC coordinator, Katrina was responsible for writing and administering grants, securing local donations and sponsorships, business plan development, adhering to the nationally recognized H.U.D. Model 3 status and working with economically disenfranchised community residents. Katrina also worked for the Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency as a case manager assistant at Youth Opportunities Unlimited for eleven years. In her role as case manager assistant, Katrina was responsible for tracking supportive services expenditures, preparing for federal/state/local audits, maintaining eligibility requirements and serving economically disadvantaged youth. Katrina has extensive experience maintaining collaborative partnerships with non-profits organizations such as the W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research, MI Works!®, P.A.T.H., Kalamazoo Public Schools and the Department of Human Services.
Katrina has diligently served on the board at the Kalamazoo Literacy Council and Kalamazoo Freedom Schools (Educating for Freedom in Schools). In her spare time, Katrina is passionate about tutoring, adult literacy, reading, music, art, travel and spending time with family and friends.
