CDS welcomes new staff at Community Connections and Supports Coordination

Sandra Simmons and Jessica Lewandowski

Sandra Simmons, former Crisis Stabilization Clinician for Cope (Community Outreach Psychiatric Emergency) in Livonia, Michigan, has been appointed as the coordinator of direct support for community connections at the Center for Disability Services. Simmons has had previous experience working at Assertive Community Treatment,  an advocate for the Guidance Center and Southwest Counseling and as an educator in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti and Wayne-Westland Community Schools. Simmons is excited to be working with this population and is also excited to be working with the students here at Western Michigan University.   

Jessica Lewandowski, former Social Services Director of Tendercare, has recently been named assistant supports coordinator at the Center for Disability Services. Lewandowski received her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from The Ohio State University. She is excited to be working directly with clients, ensuring they receive the services and care they need.
