The Writing Center offers in-person appointment and drop-in consultations for writers enrolled in or working from our Kalamazoo campuses. Writers at regional campuses, those taking online classes, or those engaged in internships and study abroad opportunities that prevent reasonable access to the main Kalamazoo campus may also choose our telephone and Skype appointments and our telephone drop-in sessions.
Schedule a telephone or Skype appointment if you are enrolled in an online class or take classes at a regional campus.
When you make a Skype or telephone appointment, list your telephone or Skype name in response to the scheduling form question, “What would you like to work on today?” Otherwise we won’t know you wanting a Skype or telephone appointment and won’t know to contact you. Be sure to include your telephone or Skype name so we may contact you. Email any text you want to discuss to firstname.lastname@example.org. Our Skype name is WMUwritingcenter1.
If you have a text (not required) you want to discuss in a Skype or telephone session, email it to email@example.com. Our Skype name is WMUwritingcenter1.
Skype appointments should be made at least two hours in advance to allow time to exchange Skype names.
When classes are not in session, Writing Center staff will still try to help students who call (269) 387-4615 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for appointments.
