Account Supervisor at Rogers & Cowan

As a public relations professional, I engage with clients to help amplify their message in the media by creating unique opportunities to garner media attention. There is not a typical day-to-day in this industry as I could be on the backlot of a movie studio one day or in client meetings another.

What is the most rewarding and the most challenging part of your job?

The most rewarding part of the job is seeing your clients’ work being recognized in the press. The most challenging aspect is getting them to that point of recognition.

What experiences impacted the choice of your career path?

Being involved on campus in many activities truly shaped me to be the person I am. I was actively involved with the Pre-Law Society, Student Ambassador Program, Alternative Spring Break and Fall Welcome.  These opportunities instilled a drive and passion in me to always raise the bar every single day and allowed me to be confident in the work I do. I don't think I would have had the same experience at any other university.

What advice do you have for others pursuing a career similar to yours?

Follow your gut and feel confident in straying from the norm.  I didn't get to where I am by following a set path. I blazed my own trail to get to where I am today.
