ReiterMatthew Reiter is a 1998 graduate of Western Michigan University and former U.S. Army Major. Reiter owns and operates a retail bail bond agency that covers Michigan and Northern Ohio. There, Reiter trains, supervises and manages nine remotely-located bail agents throughout the area.  He has increased revenue every year for the past five years. Reiter also owns Crystal Clean Car Wash, serving the city of Fraser, Mich.

Previously, Reiter served as the branch chief for finance and acquisitions for the U. S. Border Patrol, Detroit sector headquarters, where he provided budget and logistical support to five subordinate border patrol stations in Michigan and Ohio. This was a brand new position at the time, and Reiter was the first to hold it. In this role, he directly managed five civilians, was responsible for the crafting and implementation of a $3 million budget for non-military equipment, training and travel. Reiter was the primary approving official for all expenditures and tasked with keeping the sector on or under budget.

While serving nearly 12 years in the Army, Reiter served in various command and staff positions, including Tank Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer (1-72 Armor Battalion), S1 personnel manager, S4 logistics manager and Company Commander (3-17 Cavalry) while deployed in Support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, ROTC Instructor and Brigade S1 (501 Military Intelligence Brigade).

Reiter’s education includes a B.A. from Western Michigan University and a M.S.A. from Central Michigan University. Reiter and his wife Jill reside in Macomb County, Mich., with their four children, Madeline, Luke, Charlotte and Jack.
