LohmanCPT Caleb Lohman was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He graduated from Western Michigan University in 2008 with a degree in Secondary Education. CPT Lohman was a WMU ROTC Battalion Commander and Distinguished Military Graduate and accepted an active duty commission in the Armor branch upon his graduation.

During his career, CPT Lohman served as a Scout Platoon Leader, Troop Executive Officer, S4, and Instructor at the Officer Candidate School. He participated in Operation Enduring Freedom as a part of Task Force Duke, CJTF 1, and has been assigned to the following units: 6th Squadron, 4th Cavalry in Fort Knox, KY, and 199th IN BDE at Fort Benning, GA.

CPT Lohman’s military education includes the U.S. Army Airborne School, Basic Officer Leadership Course, Armor Officer Basic Course, U.S Army Reconnaissance Course, Sniper Employment Leader Course, Air Assault School, Combat Lifesaver, Tactics Certification Course, and the Basic Instructor’s Training Course.

CPT Lohman has been awarded the Order of St. George for outstanding leadership, tactical competence, and exceptional teamwork while assigned to a Cavalry/ Reconnaissance unit. His other awards and decorations include the Air Assault Badge, Parachutist Badge, Combat Action Badge, Meritorious Unit Award, BSM, Army Commendation Medal (1 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (4 OLC), National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Afghanistan Campaign Ribbon (2 CS), Global War on Terrorism Service Ribbon, and NATO ISAF Ribbon.

CPT Lohman separated from Active Duty service in August, 2013 after 54 months of honorable service. He is now a senior sales recruiter for Stryker Corporation and resides in Portage, Michigan with his wife and three children. In his spare time he enjoys backpacking and competing in triathlons.
