ClobesApril Clobes joined Michigan State University Federal Credit Union in 1996. After moving through the organization from a marketing specialist to management and executive positions, she became President and CEO in 2015. MSUFCU has an asset size of over $2.9 billion, more than 205,000 members worldwide and 637 employees.

MSUFCU is the largest university-based credit union in the world and has a national reputation for excellence, being named the 2014 Federal Credit Union of the Year by the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU). In addition, MSUFCU was recognized by the Principal Financial Group® as one of The Principal® 10 Best Companies for Employee Financial Security. The Credit Union was also honored in 2015 by the Credit Union Journal as one of the Best Credit Unions to Work For, by the American Heart Association as a Heart Association Fit Friendly Worksite, and by the Great Places to Work, partnered with Fortune.com, as one of the 100 Best Places to Work For Millennials. In 2013, Clobes was named a Top Woman to Watch by the Credit Union Times; this honor is awarded to women who are reshaping the credit union industry throughout the country.

Clobes is extremely active in the Michigan State University and Greater Lansing area communities. She is currently a member of both the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for the Lansing Economic Area Partnership, as well as the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Board and Board of Directors. Additionally, Clobes serves on the Board of Directors for the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, MSU College of Music National Leadership Council, Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum International Advisory Board, Wharton Center Advisory Council Board, MSU College of Communication Arts & Sciences Alumni Board, WKAR Development Council, Oakland University President’s Campaign Committee, and Physicians Health Plan Board.

Clobes has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from Michigan State University, a Master of Arts degree from Michigan State University in Advertising, and a Master of Business Administration from Western Michigan University.
