Spending more than thirty years focusing on investments in the software, storage, and Internet and communication markets, McQuillan has led investments in many notable companies, including PayPal, Dell and Microsoft. His successful career as a venture capitalist has not gone unnoticed, with Forbes magazine ranking McQuillan 46th on the 2011 Midas list as a top technology investor.

A distinguished executive with nearly 50 years in the financial industry, Meldrum has worked with companies such as World Bank, Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac, and global banks and branches for funding and investing. Keeping strong ties to the University, Meldrum endowed a five-year Visiting Scholars Economics Chair through the WMU Foundation.

Joining the family-owned business in 1964 as sales manager, Haworth continues as chairman emeritus and board member of Haworth Inc. His leadership has transformed the company into the global office furniture manufacturer it is today. Remaining close to his alma mater, Haworth served as WMU trustee and continues his passion for philanthropy in the West Michigan community.

Behm specializes in leading complex regulatory projects for financial institutions. Responsible for running some of Crowe Horwath’s largest projects and advising clients on managing enforcement actions, implementing and validating anti-money laundering systems and developing new solutions to assist clients, Behm has focused on helping clients under regulatory pressure build and improve compliance programs throughout the past decade.

President, Korean Kids and Orphanage Outreach Mission

Committed to fostering relationships, Jachym uses her background in business and global affairs as both an attorney and co-founder of a non-profit, Korean Kids and Orphanage Outreach Mission, to do so. She is a founding board member of Korean Connection, a southwest Michigan outreach non-profit, and also serves as a committee member of a non-partisan political action committee that supports the legislative interests of WMU.

Roosa has more than 33 years of international financial executive experience, holding leadership roles with professional and non-profit organizations. Joining General Motors during its unprecedented financial restructuring, he led the company’s financial controls and compliance management activities. An avid supporter of the college of business, Roosa is a member on the accountancy advisory council at WMU.

Sundman has published several technical articles and has multiple professional and product certifications from IBM, Sun and the Open Group.

Since 2001, Gallagher has been employed with State Farm Insurance Companies and has spent the last ten years working in human resources. She remains close to WMU, serving as part-time instructor for the finance and commercial law department. Gallagher’s awards and recognitions include the graduate creative scholar award and the undergraduate research and creative activities award, among others.

As a former venture capitalist, startup founder and supply chain professional, Crane brings a unique perspective having worked at every stage and function within the supply chain.

Notable positions include those as an officer of Foremost (Farmers) Insurance Company and The Campbell Group.

A 36-year grocery and retail veteran, Nasshan guides the overall merchandising, marketing and supply chain efforts for Bi-Lo Holdings. Bi-Lo Holdings is the nation’s fifth largest grocery retailer based on store count with more than 830 stores and 70,000 employees throughout southeastern U.S.

Having worked for the Kellogg Company since graduation, Jones has held positions of increasing responsibility throughout the company and is now accountable for maximizing industry collaboration and strategic partnerships. He lends his industry experience to WMU as a member of the food industry advisory board and the food marketing conference committee.

Colonel Michael T. Katona, B.S.'94Katona

Selected to command the 193rd Infantry Brigade, Ft. Jackson S.C., June, 2016

Colonel Katona has served in a variety of command and leadership positions during his 20-year career in the military. His awards and decorations are numerous, including the Bronze Star Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Purple Heart, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters, Army Commendation Medal with Valor and silver leaf cluster, Joint Service Achievement medal and Army Achievement Medal with four oak leaf clusters.

* Many of this year's recipients will be on campus for an all-college awards ceremony, which will take place on Oct. 23 at 4 p.m. in 2150 Schneider Hall.
