Stackhouse

Fisher Stolz

Medium: Wood and Paint
Dimensions: 101.5' x 8' x 14'

Fisher Stolz, visiting sculptor/professor of Art from Bradley University, spent the week of October 3rd constructing a site-specific sculpture installation on WMU's campus. Stolz worked with students from the School of Art to build a unique piece that recycled the materials from a former work by Robert Stackhouse, which had to be taken down earlier in the semester. Fisher chooses to title the sculpture "stackhouse" in tribute to its former configuration. The new work was real work that involved stone, mortar, logs, steel, and a good deal of sweat. Many thanks go out to the students and to Landscape Services for their support in this project.
