Symantec Upgrade

Employees with managed Symantec clients may notice the green dot disappear from the gold shield on their desktop 'tray' between noon and 6 pm on Thursday, January 2, as the Symantec server software is upgraded to the newest version. The Symantec clients will continue to perform all necessary scans and configured anti-virus and firewall protections during this period. Questions or problems may be directed to the Help Desk at (269) 387-4357, option 1.

EduCable will transition from analog to digital between 4 and 8 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 6. Signal losses may occur during this transition, and televisions will need to be programmed afterwards so sets will recognize the new signals. More information may be found at www.wmich.edu/it/newseducable .


All Internet connectivity unavailable Sunday morning

Because of network upgrades, all access to the Internet from WMU's network will be unavailable from 5 to 7 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22. This includes all WMU websites, all wired and wireless connections, all VoIP phones, and access to all information systems. We recommend you refrain from connections prior to, and during that time, so work is not lost. Questions should be directed to the Help Desk at (269) 387-4357, option 1.
