Be aware of email based phishing scams hitting campus today

Please be aware that Western Michigan University is currently being targeted by a phishing campaign which may result in you receiving a fraudulent message. These messages often appear to come from a legitimate source offering a job, promising reimbursement for purchases or asking for financial and other personal information such as your Bronco NetID and password. For example, a fraudulent message may indicate that you need to log in to “reactivate” your account, however, the link provided is malicious and will divulge your credentials to the criminal. These messages are not legitimate, and Western Michigan University will never send messages of this nature.
