Sexual Health Peer Education 387-3258

Sexual Health Peer Educators develop skills in active listening, group leadership and facilitation, public speaking, and one-on-one peer support along with a fuller understanding of healthy sexual decision-making and healthy sexuality. Peer Educators reach more than 5,000 students each year. Exceptional skill and resume builder for employment or graduate school admission.

Students are selected by interview and/or audition. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Academic credit is offered through the following eight colleges/departments:

  • Communication Majors: Independent Study
  • ED 430 may be replaced with ED 398: Special Studies in Education
  • FCS 202: Field Placement
  • FCS 429: Internship
  • HNRS 399: Field Experience
  • PEPR 300: Independent Study
  • PSY 397 or 398: Specially Arranged Practicum
  • SW 410: Field Placement
