Sexual Health Peer Educators develop skills in active listening,
group leadership and facilitation, public speaking, and one-on-one
peer support along with a fuller understanding of healthy sexual
decision-making and healthy sexuality. Peer Educators reach more
than 5,000 students each year. Exceptional skill and resume builder
for employment or graduate school admission.
Students are selected by interview and/or audition. Applicants
must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Academic credit is offered through
the following eight colleges/departments:
- Communication Majors: Independent Study
- ED 430 may be replaced with ED 398: Special Studies in Education
- FCS 202: Field Placement
- FCS 429: Internship
- HNRS 399: Field Experience
- PEPR 300: Independent Study
- PSY 397 or 398: Specially Arranged Practicum
- SW 410: Field Placement
