WMU Middle School Science Teachers
Our meetings (held Thursday afternoons) are hosted by area middle school science teachers who discuss issues of interest to us such as classroom management strategies, how to maintain discipline in the classroom, and how to prepare for the job market. They feature pizza, pop and door prizes.
We have two WMU faculty advisors, Dr. David Rudge (Biological Sciences, CAS) and Dr. Paul Vellom (Teaching Learning, and Leadership, COE) who each have a joint appointment in the Mallinson Institute for Science Education. Please feel free to contact either of them if you have ideas of topics you'd like us to discuss at meetings or speakers you think would be of interest to our group.
