Gender and Women's Studies

Miranda Rosenberg is a member of the Lee Honors College majoring in English and gender studies with minors in non profit leadership and philosophy. This fall she plans to attend the University of Cape Town in South Africa through WMU's study abroad program. She is particularly interested in postcolonial and globalisation theory with a focus on Africa and hopes to join the Peace Corps in the interim between undergrad and graduate school - mostly because she has no clue what she will do for a masters degree. (Kidding. Mostly.) She will be a PeaceJam mentor this Spring for the first time and cannot wait for the experience! In her "spare" time, she also crafts and is a volunteer moderator on the website www.craftster.org, where she specializes in Crochet and Spinning. Fiber arts are one of her many passions and she would love to incorporate them into her political education by working for some foundation or non profit such as RugMark. So far her only internship has been within t he women's studies department as a teaching assistant for Chris Tower in WMS 1000.
