KALAMAZOO-- Acting at its June 9 meeting, the Western Michigan University Board of Trustees approved a tuition increase for its regional locations and online courses.

Effective fall 2011, tuition for all courses and programs at regional locations and online through Extended University Programs will increase by 7.1 percent. The increase will put undergraduate course work at regional locations at $364.42 per credit hour and graduate course work at regional locations and online at $515.15 per credit hour. The current $20 per class technology fee will continue to be charged.

The increase will also put undergraduate online course work at $303.00 per credit hour, plus a $60 per credit hour online support fee. For undergraduate students who take both online and face-to-face, main-campus courses, EUP will continue to process tuition adjustments for credit loads that fall into the University's flat-rate structure.

Through Extended University Programs, WMU maintains regional locations in Battle Creek, Benton Harbor/St. Joseph, Grand Rapids, Lansing, MetroDetroit, Muskegon and Traverse City. EUP also oversees the University's online course offerings.
