Island Fest is three days and nights of reggae music

Popular Jamaican food vendor Jesse McIntosh of Kalamazoo died in 2010 and will be remembered at Island Festival.
KALAMAZOO--Reggae music, Caribbean food and island beverages are on tap for Island Festival Thursday to Saturday, June 16-18, at the Arcadia Creek Festival Place in downtown Kalamazoo.

Admission to the Island Festival is free before 4 p.m. and $5 from 4 to 7 p.m. It is $8 after 7 p.m. Thursday and $9 after 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Gates open at 11 a.m. daily.

Food, drinks, beer and wine from several local restaurants will be available for purchase with tickets.

The live reggae music line-up runs all day and ranges from the top local talent to well-known regional and national headliners presented outdoors.
