Oscar-nominated 'Another Year' visits Little TheatreMarch 3, 2011 KALAMAZOO--Kalamazoo Film Society presents the Oscar-nominated "Another Year" Friday through Sunday, March 11-13, in the Little Theatre at Western Michigan University. Show times are 7 and 9:30 p.m. Friday; 4:30, 7 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday; and 2:30, 5 and 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5. "Another Year," starring Jim Broadbent, Lesley Manville and Ruth Sheen, is a bittersweet slice-of-life film about a happily married British couple. Over the course of a year, they find themselves surrounded by friends, family and colleagues who do not share their positive outlook on life. The blissful couple reminds us that although many circumstances in life may be beyond our control, we do control our responses, and eventually life is what we make it. Written and directed by Mike Leigh, the 2010 film is shown in English. It has a run time of 129 minutes, and is rated PG-13 for adult language.
