World premiere of 'So Far From God'Dec. 14, 2010 KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University Theatre presents the world premiere of "So Far From God" Jan. 27 through Feb. 6 in York Arena Theatre at the Gilmore Theatre Complex.
"So Far From God" at York Arena Theatre
Playwright, director and WMU theatre professor James Daniels leads the audience on a picaresque journey filled with violence, loss, love and redemption in this gripping new play. "So Far From God" tells the tale of two brothers trying to make their way home amidst the fallout of the Mexican-American War. On the way, they encounter disease, bandits, two brave slaves and an invisible spirit who will change their lives forever. Cast and creative team Daniels directs the all-student cast, which includes: Therese Anderberg, Sean Buckley, Chelsea Boisseau, Chris Grazul , Hannah Homnick, Gianna Imbronone, Rob Johnson, Deontez Lockett, Christopher Martin, Ben Maters, Cory O'Brien-Pniewski, Joe Russell, Chad Sutton, Nora Ulrey and Jenna Wyatt. The creative team includes WMU students Kat Korak, stage manager, and Nora Ulrey, assistant director. Tickets Reserved seating for "So Far From God" at York Arena Theatre is $20, $15 for senior citizens and WMU employees, and $5 for students.
