Gold Company gives 'Sneak Preview' performanceOct. 27, 2010 KALAMAZOO--Gold Company, Western Michigan University's internationally recognized vocal jazz ensemble, will hold its 33rd annual "Sneak Preview" concert at 8:15 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, in the Dalton Center Recital Hall. Led by Dr. Steve Zegree, WMU professor of music, Gold Company will present a preview of new music from its 33rd anniversary show, "Gold Company: Rockin' Through the Ages," slated for Saturday, Feb. 12, at Miller Auditorium. The concert also will feature arrangements from the group's upcoming 2010-11 season, which includes a Nov. 11 show with Kurt Elling, a Dec. 5 holiday concert with University Symphony Orchestra, a February concert at the Lincoln Center in New York City, and a featured performance at the American Choral Director's Association National Convention in Chicago in March. This season also marks the release of a new CD for Gold Company. "Who Could Ask For Anything More" is scheduled to drop in January. The Nov. 4 concert also will feature an appearance by Gold Company's sister group, GC II, which is directed by WMU alumnus Michael Wheaton.
