Career fair touts opportunities with nonprofits

Oct. 14, 2010

KALAMAZOO--Nonprofit Opportunity Day is Tuesday, Oct. 26, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Bernhard Center Ballroom at Western Michigan University.

Employers will be on hand to promote their organizations and career fields as well as discuss possibilities for full time, part time, internship and volunteer positions.

Nonprofit Opportunity Day is being sponsored by WMU's Career and Student Employment Services and Lee Honors College. Nearly 50 area nonprofit organizations are participating.

Attendees will be able to network and gain information about career, internship and volunteering opportunities. They should wear business or business-casual attire and bring copies of their resumes.

The event is free and open to the public and does not require prior registration. It is, however, intended primarily for WMU students and recent graduates.

Visit wmich.edu/career and click Calendar of Events for more information, including a list of participating agencies.
