A brief presentation from each of the business college's academic departments will acquaint students with all five departments and 15 business majors. Activities will be held in Room 1120 of Schneider Hall. Immediately after the presentations, students, faculty and staff are invited for pizza and refreshments in the Schneider Hall Lobby.

The second event, Business Bash, will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, in the Schneider Hall Courtyard. Students can drop in at any time to learn about business-related professional student organizations, majors, study-abroad opportunities and career services. Representatives from event sponsors--Charter One Bank and the Society of Financial Service Professionals--also will be on hand to talk with students about the job-search process and personal finance.

Event organizers say this is an excellent opportunity for new students to become acquainted with business majors and meet faculty and student organization leaders.

"The goal is to help inform and involve students," seconds Linda Ickes, Career Center director and co-advisor of the Student Leadership Advisory Board. "Being informed is key for success in making decisions, whether it be in choosing a major, signing up for a study abroad trip or participating in Career Center programs."
