Julia Murney stars alongside University Theatre

KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University Theatre will close out its fall season with "Late Night Broadway," an intimate cabaret-style concert featuring Broadway star Julia Murney and senior musical theatre students.
Productions take place at 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 3-5, in Williams Theatre at WMU's Gilmore Theatre Complex. A cash bar is available for all performances.
Murney was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for originating the role of Queenie in Andrew Lippa's "The Wild Party." She also starred on Broadway in "Lennon," and as Elphaba in "Wicked." Her off-Broadway credits include "The Vagina Monologues," "Crimes of the Heart" and "Class Act." She also has appeared in several TV shows, including "Sex and the City," "Ed," "NYPD Blue" and "Law and Order."
Cast and creative team
The student cast of "Late Night Broadway" is directed Jay Berkow, WMU associate professor of theatre, and includes: Billy Casey, Emily Iaquinta, Tiffany McLaughlin, Sue-Yenn Ng, Kayla Peabody, Sam Ramirez, Ahren Rehmel, Cait Ryan, Alicia Thoel, Ashley Travis and Jared Woodhouse.
The creative team includes Caitlyn Eby, lighting designer; Keith Roelfsema, sound designer; and Emily R. Cherry, stage manager.
