Annual Pride Prom is this weekend

Nov. 10, 2009

KALAMAZOO--The student group OUTspoken will hold its annual Pride Prom from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Nov. 14, in the Radisson Plaza Hotel, 100 W. Michigan Ave.

OUTspoken is a student organization at Western Michigan University supporting lesbian, bisexual, gay and transgender students and their allies. The Pride Prom costs $5 and is open to the public.

The event is geared toward LBGT students who never had a real prom, along with their friends and other allies. It is being co-sponsored by WMU's Campus Activities Board, Western Student Association and Office of LBGT Student Services with organizational support from the Womyn's Equality student group.

Tickets are available at the door and for purchase in advance in the OUTspoken office, located on WMU's main campus in the Student Organization Center of the Bernhard Center.
