KALAMAZOO--WMU News, the official news site of Western Michigan University, is making available news and photographs from WMU in the days immediately following the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, as well as links to news stories about subsequent memorial services. All news releases and photos are presented exactly as published in the hours and days immediately following the attacks.

All WMU aircraft and crews safe and secure (Sept. 11, 2001) As of 10:40 a.m., all WMU aircraft were accounted for and were on the ground.

With sympathy, compassion and a new resolve (Sept. 19, 2001) A message to the WMU family from President Elson S. Floyd.

WMU aids Manhattan Community College (Sept. 28, 2001) WMU sending classroom furniture for use in temporary classrooms.

Four memorial services planned for Sept. 11 anniversary (Aug. 30, 2002) Services held throughout the afternoon and evening of Sept. 11.

Service to be held for fifth anniversary of 9/11 (Sept. 5, 2006) Employees sponsoring service to commemorate fifth anniversary at Goldsworth Valley memorial.
