Olga M. Roekle

Olga M. Roekle, who worked at Western Michigan University for 42 years, died Jan. 16. She was 95.

Roekle served as budget officer in the Office of University Budgets and Financial Planning at WMU her entire working career, retiring June 30, 1973. In addition, she was a Braille transcriber for the Library of Congress, a charter member of the local organization SHHH for people with hearing problems, an American Red Cross volunteer and teacher for a local literacy program. She also was a charter member and Bible school teacher at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Services

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 3000 W. Main St., Kalamazoo. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church or the Constance Brown Hearing Center.
