Presidential evaluation tops board's Dec. 12 agendaDec. 11, 2008 KALAMAZOO--A formal evaluation of Western Michigan University President John M. Dunn tops the agenda for the WMU Board of Trustees' Friday, Dec. 12, meeting. Acting in a public session that begins at noon in Room 157 of the Bernhard Center, the full board will consider a presidential evaluation and compensation recommendation presented to the trustees by Board Chair Ken Miller of Kalamazoo. This will be the first official evaluation of Dunn since he took office as the University's eighth president in July 2007. Also on the agenda for the Dec. 12 meeting will be recommendations for a lease agreement, an addition to the Western Student Association constitution and several academic program changes, including the renaming of a department, and the creation of an accelerated engineering program and two new concentrations in applied economics. In addition, the board will consider a recommendation to add student information security responsibilities to an existing administrative position. The board also is expected to set meeting dates for 2009 and hear a report on the Michigan Universities Self-Insurance Corp., of which WMU is a member.
