Public Safety resumes training at Vandercook
Aug. 6, 2008
KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University's Department of Public Safety will conduct drills and officer training from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Aug. 11-14, in and around Vandercook Hall on the WMU East Campus.
Vandercook is located on Oakland Drive between Oliver and Lovell streets, and the area will be clearly identified as a training site. While most of the exercise will occur indoors, out of public view, there will be uniformed officers and patrol vehicles in the area, and firearms will be used with training rounds.
Similar training was conducted at Vandercook in July. For more information, contact Patrol Sgt. Todd Noeske, WMU Public Safety, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
