Reading program for school children begins in July

KALAMAZOO--Supplemental instruction in reading, writing and study skills is available for school-aged children through grade eight at the McGinnis Reading Center and Clinic in Sangren Hall at Western Michigan University.

Sessions are Mondays through Thursdays, July 7-31, from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. Each child will receive individual instruction. Qualified reading master's students will supervise assessment and diagnostic teaching. Students will be provided with instructional activities which foster growth, progress and confidence in reading and writing.

The fee is $225 per child. Children of WMU students, faculty and staff receive a 30 percent discount. Enrollment is limited and interested parties are encouraged to register by July 3.
