Geek Group will present technology program

KALAMAZOO--Self-proclaimed geeks are encouraged to attend a public meeting Monday, Jan. 28, at Western Michigan University regarding a non-profit organization for people who like to get their hands dirty with science and technology.

Chris Boden, president and founder of the Geek Group, will speak at 7:30 p.m on "The Geek Group: Like Willy Wonka With High Voltage" in Room 1104 of Rood Hall. Refreshments will be served prior to the talk at 7 p.m. in Room 2202 Everett Tower.

The informational meeting is sponsored by WMU's Department of Physics and open to people interested in science, technology, engineering, math and arts education. Geek Group members regularly perform hands-on demonstrations in schools and the community on a wide range of topics including astronomy to high-voltage physics.
