Helen G. Sellers

Helen G. Sellers, associate professor emeritus of English at Western Michigan University, died Nov. 29, in Kalamazoo. She was 95.

Sellers came to WMU in 1947 as an English instructor and retired in l974 after 27 years of service to the University. She was a specialist in modern British literature, but taught a wide range of courses.

Prior to joining WMU's faculty, Sellers taught at Michigan's Greenville High School from 1930 to 1947, serving the last three years as head of the English Department there. She earned a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University master's degrees from the University of Wisconsin and Northwestern University, and also studied at Oxford University in England.
