Virginia Tech book of condolences available for signing

April 17, 2007

KALAMAZOO--A book of condolences for the Virginia Tech campus community is available for signing today through Thursday, April 17-19, next to the information desk in the main lobby of the Bernhard Center at Western Michigan University.

Individual pages for the book will be available for signing from 1 to 11 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. WMU students, faculty, staff and alumni, as well as residents of the area, are invited to express condolences for the tragic loss of life and suffering stemming from Monday's shootings on the Virginia school's campus.

The signed pages will be bound into a book Friday. On behalf of the WMU community, President Diether Haenicke will send the book to Dr. Charles W. Steger, president of Virginia Tech.
