WMU Home > About WMU > WMU News Football schedule and homecoming date announcedMarch 17, 2007 KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University's Bronco football team has six home games on its 2007 schedule, including the home opener against Indiana University and the first-ever nationally televised game from Waldo Stadium when WMU takes on defending Mid-American Conference champion Central Michigan University on ESPN2. "Being able to bring a Big Ten team (Indiana) to Waldo Stadium speaks volumes for the level of our program and the level of championship football in the MAC," says WMU head coach Bill Cubit. "This is a very challenging schedule, and we look forward to getting started." WMU Homecoming is set for Saturday, Oct. 20, with a football contest versus Ball State University beginning at 2 p.m. Other home contests include Division IAA Central Connecticut State University and MAC opponents Akron University and Temple University. In road contests, the Broncos will open the 2007 campaign Sept. 1 at West Virginia University of the Big East Conference, travel Sept. 15 to the University of Missouri from the Big 12 Conference and take on Big Ten University of Iowa Nov. 17 at Iowa City. WMU also travels this year to MAC West Division opponents Toledo University, Northern Illinois University and Eastern Michigan University. Season tickets and single-game tickets will be available
