Concert band performs Wagner, Shostakovich and moreFeb. 13, 2006 KALAMAZOO--The Western Michigan University Concert Band presents its first concert of the semester at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, in Miller Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public. The program will feature classic band repertoire including pieces by Richard Wagner, William Schuman, Malcolm Arnold, and Dmitri Shostakovich. This promises to be an outstanding performance of great wind band literature. The University Concert Band is conducted by David Montgomery, a member of the School of Music faculty.
