Nominations sought for student "Who's Who"

Jan. 27, 2006

KALAMAZOO--Faculty and staff members at Western Michigan University are invited to nominate deserving students for inclusion in "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges." WMU has participated in this Who's Who program for more than 20 years.

To be eligible for inclusion, students must have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average at WMU; must have junior, senior or graduate student status; and must have demonstrated involvement on campus and in their community.

Nominations are due by Friday, Feb. 10.

The nomination process is relatively simple and takes only a few minutes. Nominations may be submitted electronically, by fax or by campus mail. Nominated students will be asked to complete an application form. After confirming the nominee's information, those students who qualify will be recommended to the national office of Who's Who. Students who receive this designation will be honored at a ceremony April 21 in the Bernhard Center.

Nomination forms can be found at www.salp.wmich.edu. Completed forms should be sent by e-mail to Stephanie Bierlein at bierleins@groupwise.wmich.edu, by fax to Student Activities and Leadership Programs at (269) 387-2185, or by campus mail to Stephanie Bierlein, Student Activities and Leadership Programs, Mail Stop 5356.

Questions should be referred to Stephanie Bierlein at (269) 387-2115.
