WFS presents Cannes-winner "Broken Flowers"

KALAMAZOO--Western Film Society presents the Kalamazoo-area debut of "Broken Flowers," Friday through Sunday, Nov. 4-6, in the Little Theatre at Western Michigan University.

"Broken Flowers" was awarded the Grand Prix at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival. The film is rated R and has a runtime of 106 minutes. Showtimes are 7 and 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 4-5, and 2:30 and 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6. Admission is $5 and $3 for students.

"Broken Flowers" is the latest film from celebrated independent writer/director Jim Jarmusch. It stars Bill Murray as Don Johnston, a man unlucky in love. While finding himself at the end of yet another relationship, he receives a letter from an anonymous former lover informing him that he has a 19-year-old son. Spurred on by his neighbor, Winston (Jeffrey Wright), Don embarks on a road trip to talk to all the women he's ever dated in an attempt to find the son he's never known.
