Documentary looks at Kalamazoo River contamination

KALAMAZOO--Students for a Sustainable Earth at Western Michigan University is presenting a documentary film on PCB contamination in the Kalamazoo River at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, in Room 2301 of Sangren Hall.

"The Toxic Legacy of Michigan's Kalamazoo River: Cleanup or Cover-up?" is a 20-minute documentary on the failure of companies to cleanup PCB contamination in the river. It was produced by the Kalamazoo River Protection Association.

The screening is free and open to the public. SSE will accept donations during the program to support its work of environmental activism and providing educational events for the WMU campus and Kalamazoo-area communities.
