Safe on Campus ally training scheduled

KALAMAZOO--Four Safe on Campus training sessions have been scheduled this fall to teach the basics about being supportive and visible to Western Michigan University's lesbian, bisexual, gay and transgender students.

Three sessions of a general program will be offered for those wishing to be allies for LBGT students. Also offered will be one session of an advanced program that focuses on training allies for transgender students.

These Safe on Campus sessions are planned for the following times and locations:

Wednesday, Oct. 12, LBGT ally training, noon to 2 p.m., Presidents Dining Room, Bernhard Center.

Friday, Oct. 14, LBGT ally training, noon to 2 p.m., Presidents Dining Room, Bernhard Center.

Wednesday, Nov. 2, LBGT ally training, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., Room 210, Bernhard Center.

Friday, Nov. 4, advanced transgender ally training, 10 a.m. to noon, Faculty Dining Room (enter from inside cafeteria dining room), Bernhard Center.
