WMU HOME > ABOUT WMU > WMU NEWS Earth Day celebration features Fair Trade FairMay 9, 2005 KALAMAZOO--Student organizations from Western Michigan University are joining other community groups in sponsoring the Earth Day 2005 Fair Trade Fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at Bronson Park in downtown Kalamazoo. The event is free and open to the public and includes musicians, speakers, discussion circles, more than 50 exhibits, "fair trade" food and beverages, and children's activities and entertainment. The Earth Day 2005 Fair Trade Fair is sponsored by Students for a Sustainable Earth and other WMU student organizations and by the Green Party of Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo Environmental Council, KNOW, People's Food Co-op and other community organizations.
