Sawako Nakayasu presents 'assorted in-between poetry'

KALAMAZOO--Author and poet Sawako Nakayasu presents "An Evening of Japanese, English, Japanese-American, and Other Assorted In-Between Poetry," Wednesday, Oct. 13, at 6 p.m. on the top floor of Sprau Tower at Western Michigan University.

Nakayasu is the author of the book-length poem "So We Have Been Given Time Or," as well as the chapbooks "Balconic" and "Nothing Fictional But Accuracy or Arrangement." She is editor of "Factorial," a journal of literary collaborations and translations, and editor of the translation section for the online journal "HOW2."

Sponsoring Nakayasu's visit are the WMU Department of Foreign Languages, Haenicke Institute for International and Area Studies and Department of English.
